Explore Using a Conflict Management Tool to Evoke Awareness: Core Competency 7
"I avoid conflict as much as I can" is a frequent statement from many of my coaching clients. The Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument (TKI) provides focused starting points for coaching conversations. Clients discover there are five (5) other ways to approach conflict. We will explore the TKI tool and how you may incorporate the TKI into your practice. Perhaps you will see a different way to manage your own conflicts.
During this session you are introduced to the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument (TKI) and how to use the TKI to evoke awareness. You also have the opportunity to explore your own methods for evoking awareness. Finally, you learn how to get access to the TKI as a resource for your coaching practice.

"I am a life coach with a focus on people wanting to change their effectiveness as an organization manager. My path to coaching began with behavioral genetics research with the Smithsonian Institute National Zoo. Over the course of the next 30+ years I have developed people and their organizations from Fortune 500 companies to nonprofits to small businesses. Most of my projects involved coaching leaders who were charged with changing the organization's culture.
Today, people work with me to discover how they can more effectively manage their organizations.
My personal mission is to make life a more joyful event for each person I engage."
