Presenter: Kelly Kent, PhD
Kelly Kent is a neuroscientist who brings her passion for the brain to her work as a school board member, corporate creativity consultant, business owner, speaker, educator, and parent. After completing her Ph.D. in the molecular mechanisms of stroke recovery in 2011, she applied her higher-education experience to real-world settings. She conducted post-graduate work in autism at the University of Southern California while teaching and mentoring graduate and undergraduate students, including psychology students at Moorpark College and neurobiology students at Antioch University. Kelly's focus on applying neuroscience to everyday life led her to co-found adaptED Consultants, which uses brain science to support individual and organizational growth by aligning workplace cultures and leadership practices with how the brain functions best. Recognizing the role of coaching in professional and organizational development, she partnered with Master Certified Coach Hayden Lee to create a neuroscience-based coaching training program, leading to the founding of Master Mind Institute.
